Role Description

Our client is building a next-generation AI platform where intelligent interactions are at the core of the user experience. We are looking for an experienced iOS Software Engineer to develop high-quality native iOS applications that deliver responsive, reliable, and intuitive AI-powered experiences.

You will work closely with backend and machine learning engineers to bring AI capabilities into production, focusing on performance, usability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate AI-powered capabilities through backend APIs and modern application architectures.
• Design seamless AI interaction experiences, including streaming responses, loading states, retries, and graceful error handling.
• Optimise application performance, memory usage, battery efficiency, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with backend and AI/ML engineers on API design and system integration.
• Capture user feedback and application telemetry to support continuous AI model improvement.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, application stability, and App Store readiness.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective monitoring and performance improvements.

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in native iOS application development.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
• Solid understanding of async/await, concurrency, background processing, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs into production mobile applications.
• Experience developing, releasing, and maintaining production iOS applications.
• Strong knowledge of application performance optimisation, memory management, and debugging.
• Familiarity with designing applications that handle network latency, partial failures, and asynchronous workflows.

NiceToHave

• Experience integrating AI or machine learning features into mobile applications.
• Knowledge of CoreML, TensorFlow Lite, or other on-device machine learning frameworks.
• Experience with feature flagging or remote configuration platforms.
• Understanding of AI interaction patterns, conversational interfaces, or intelligent assistant applications.
